That depends on how much of your body you want to treat in one session. Each set has the same horizontal stand on wheels and panels with 8 wavelengths of red and near-infrared light.

• Essential Set (Pro 700, 140 LEDs): hands-free treatment by zone, such as your back, abdomen, legs, shoulders, or face.
• Complete Set (Pro 1500, 300 LEDs): lying down, you can treat about three-quarters of your body at once.

Both are two-panel setups, connected with the coupling piece on the horizontal stand. The Duo Set has two Pro 1500 panels stacked on top of each other, together providing 600 dual-chip LEDs across almost two meters, for the shortest session time for your whole body. The Combo Set combines a Pro 1500 with a Pro 700: lying down, it covers almost your whole body, and you can also use the 700 on its own for your face, neck, or a single joint. Choose the Duo for maximum coverage and the Combo if you also want a convenient second panel.

With one panel, you treat one area at a time: for example, the Pro 700 illuminates your back or legs, while the Pro 1500 covers about three-quarters of your body. If you want to lie down and treat your body from head to toe in one session, you’ll need two panels, such as those in the Combo or Duo Set. A full-body setup saves time because you don’t have to reposition yourself after each area. If you mainly use the light on one spot, such as your lower back or face, a set with one panel is enough.

Yes. The horizontal stand has room for two ATP Pro panels, in the combinations 700 + 700, 1500 + 1500, or 700 + 1500. You can then add a second panel and connect the two with the separate connector. This lets your setup grow without needing a different stand.

Meta-analyses of athletes show that red and near-infrared light can reduce muscle soreness after exercise and speed up strength recovery. With a set, you can lie hands-free beneath the panels, and with two panels you can illuminate all those muscle groups in one session instead of one area at a time. Yes, when lying under a Pro 1500 or two linked panels, the light falls on your neck, back, hips, and knees at the same time. Research into photobiomodulation for issues including neck and knee pain shows that regular use over several weeks can reduce stiffness and pain and improve mobility. The near-infrared light in the ATP Pro (810, 850, and 940 nm) penetrates deep into muscles and joints. Many users make a reclining session under the set part of their evening relaxation routine. Red light does not inhibit melatonin production, unlike the blue light from screens. Athletes who received red light every evening for two weeks in a study slept better and had higher melatonin levels than a group without light sessions. Yes, and for your scalp, the stand is most convenient to use while standing, so you can sit with your head close to the panel. Research on hereditary hair loss shows that red light can increase hair density when used consistently for months. Keep a distance of 5 to 10 cm and part your hair so the light reaches your scalp. Both work. For lying down, roll the standaard next to your bed, couch, or a mat and lie beneath the panel: ideal for your back, legs, or whole body, and for relaxing after exercise. For standing, stand or sit in front of the panel and aim it at one area, such as your shoulders, neck, or abdomen. You don’t need to attach anything to the wall or ceiling.

Allow for the length of the panels, plus room to lie underneath them. A Pro 700 measures 50 x 33 cm, and a Pro 1500 measures 95 x 33 cm; both are 6 cm thick. With two Pro 1500 panels stacked vertically, as in the Duo Set, you cover almost two meters, which is nearly your full body length. Since the stand is on wheels, you can simply roll it aside after your session.

Yes, both. The arm the panel is attached to can be adjusted to between about 88 and 129 cm from the floor, so you can position the panel at the right distance above your bed or couch. The steel stand comes in separate pieces with the bolts included, and you can assemble it yourself using the steps in the manual. Two of the four wheels have brakes, so the stand stays in place during your session.

To do this, use the connector, which is already included with the Combo and Duo Set. Attach it between the hanging points of both panels on the stand and tighten it securely. It only takes a few minutes. The metal connector keeps the panels aligned so they don't shift, and you can lie beneath one continuous area of light.

Both are possible. To run them together, press "Synchronise panels" on both panels and wait until a code appears on the screen; they will then run together and remain paired. If nothing happens on the second panel, usually only one panel has been synchronised. If you want different settings for each panel, for example more near-infrared for your legs, set them up separately and save those settings under M1 or M2. Each panel has its own power cable, so make sure there are two outlets nearby.

Yes. Each panel comes with a hanging system, so you can hang it on a door too. This is especially useful with the Combo Set: take the Pro 700 off the stand and use it separately for your face, neck, or a single joint, on a door or on a table. That way, one set gives you a large area to lie under and a handy panel to use in between.

Keep the panels 10 to 20 cm away from your bare skin and never place them against your skin, as this can make the light uneven. If you’ve just started, do one session a day for 10 to 20 minutes; after about a month, you can do two sessions a day, with at least 4 hours between them. Using two panels doesn’t mean you need to lie down for longer, since each panel illuminates a different part of your body. There’s no need to spend more than 30 minutes per session, and a total of one hour a day is plenty.

We had the Pro 1500 measured with a spectroradiometer, and at a distance of 15 cm, it delivers an average of about 83 mW/cm² of red and near-infrared light combined. At that distance, you can reach a dose of 10 J/cm² in about 2 minutes, and 20 J/cm² in about 4 minutes. A solar meter reads about 216 to 220 mW/cm² at the same spot because it measures higher levels of red and near-infrared light. No, that's not necessary. You can simply lie with your eyes open or closed. Since the light from the panels shines directly onto your face, many people find it bright, which is why each panel comes with a pair of glasses; the Combo and Duo Set therefore come with two pairs.

Every ATP Pro panel is flicker-free, and we had the electromagnetic field measured at maximum power. Directly in front of the panel, the magnetic field measured 0.10 to 0.13 µT and the electric field 44 to 55 V/m, well below the European reference values; see the details in the EMF measurement report. The panels emit some heat but do not work through heat, and the cooling system is very quiet during use. It’s best to avoid red light therapy during pregnancy. If you take medication that makes you more sensitive to light or have a medical condition, consult your doctor first.
