Skin recovery was the very first application of light therapy. In 1967, Hungarian physician Endre Mester observed that low-energy red laser light supported skin recovery. Since then, this has become one of the best-researched applications.

All stages of recovery

Red and near-infrared light support the three stages of skin recovery. In the first stage, it modulates immune cells. During the rebuilding stage, it stimulates fibroblasts and keratinocytes and supports the formation of small blood vessels. In the final stage, it helps normalize collagen deposition, contributing to a more even-looking complexion.

When to use it

Consider it for minor abrasions, recovery after a minor procedure, irritated skin after shaving or sun exposure, and scars that could become more even. For open or poorly healing wounds, consult your doctor first. The ATP Pro series offers shorter wavelengths (590 to 660 nm) for the skin and longer wavelengths (850 to 1072 nm) for deeper tissue.
