What the studies show

A 48-week study (Dermatologic Therapy, 2026) reported an increase in hair density from 99.2 to 124.2 hairs per cm2 and thicker hair. Analysis of gene activity identified 650 nm as one of the most effective wavelengths for hair growth.

How does it work?

Red light around 650 nm is absorbed by cytochrome c oxidase in hair follicle cells, increasing ATP production and activating growth signals. The ATP Pro series contains 630 and 660 nm, supplemented with near-infrared light to support scalp circulation.

Patience

Hair grows by about one centimeter per month. Expect to use it consistently for several months before you see a difference. If hair loss starts suddenly or occurs in clumps, have your GP investigate the cause first.
