Panacea is not a lighting store. We design red light panels and LED masks that we use ourselves, test ourselves, and support from the Netherlands.
Since 2022, based in Bussum, and now serving thousands of households in the Netherlands and Belgium. On this page, you can read how it all began, how we have grown, and how we consciously do things differently from the rest.

The story behind Panacea, in three minutes
Our founder Chaya slept poorly for more than fifteen years. Awake night after night, exhausted during the day, and every time the same answer: nothing is wrong.
Red light was the turning point. Skeptical at first, then amazed: deeper sleep, waking up more rested and, as an unexpected bonus, her skin improved. That was the moment Panacea was born: if red light could help her so much, it had to be made accessible to others too.

The search
After years of poor sleep and inconclusive tests, Chaya sets out to find a natural way to unwind. She reads everything about red light therapy, from the research to other people's experiences, and starts using it herself. After a few weeks, she notices the difference: deeper sleep, more energy, and calmer skin. The idea for Panacea is born.
Panacea is founded
In the fall of 2022, we founded Panacea Light Therapy in Bussum. The name comes from Greek mythology: Panacea is the goddess of health and healing. We don’t believe in miracle cures, but we do believe in light that supports multiple aspects of well-being at once.
We started with what it began with for Chaya herself: full-body red light panels, the TheraFlex belt for targeted treatment, and the ReviveTorch for on the go. And with the most important question: which factory can make these products well? We deliberately chose manufacturers with more than twenty years of experience in light therapy and who produce CE-, RoHS-, and FCC-certified products.
The first orders
In March 2023, the first order goes out. Our first customers teach us more than any research could: what works, what’s missing, and how important clear, reassuring explanations are. From day one, we test our panels ourselves. Later that year, our first LED face mask follows, marking the start of our skincare line. We deliberately keep things small in our first year. We read every review ourselves.
The ATP Pro panels and SBS6
With the ATP Pro panels, Panacea becomes a whole-body brand: sleep, muscles, joints, and skin. That same year, SBS6 visits to feature red light therapy, and things really take off. For the first time, stock runs out before the next container can arrive.
Custom-designed, built by specialists
The updated ATP Pro series goes into production in early 2025: our own design, with eight wavelengths from 590 to 1072 nm and Smart Placement, where each wavelength is positioned in the panel where it makes the most sense. Every panel is tested at the factory before it goes to the Netherlands. In the fall, the ATP Pro 350, 700, and 1500 in their current form will follow, along with the mobile horizontal stand. Our busiest year yet.
New style, new products, the same promise
A new brand identity, and our biggest expansion yet: the new Panacea LED Mask with 90 quad-chip LEDs and a separate neck and décolletage piece, the TheraFlex belt, the ReviveTorch, complete sets with stand and connector, and the ATP Pure series for those who like to keep things simple. We’re publishing our own EMF measurements and the test reports for the ATP Pro 1500, and extending the trial period to 180 days. Because red light takes time, and you deserve that time.
Four things we do differently from most providers
The market is full of panels and masks that look the same on the outside. This is where we make the difference.
We measure, we don’t promise
Light intensity measured with a solar meter and spectrometer, EMF measured with a TriField meter, LEDs by wavelength: all the figures are on the site, along with the measurement report. That way, you know what you’re buying before you order.

How our panels are made
No stock photos. Our panels are designed in the Netherlands and built in China at a factory that has been making light therapy equipment for over twenty years, with fixed working hours and weekends off for staff. If we produced them in Europe, a panel would cost four to five times as much. This is what the process looks like, and the measurement each batch undergoes at our facility in Bussum.
Circuit board assembly
Each driver and circuit board is installed by hand in the aluminum housing and checked immediately.
Assembly in the factory
LED panels, wiring, and housing come together on the workbench. Dust-free, wearing antistatic clothing, and every panel undergoes a burn-in test.
Nameeting in Bussum
We personally measure the light intensity of every series using a solar meter and spectrometer, at a distance of 15 cm, with all wavelengths on. The figures are listed on the product page.
Why we publish our own measurements
Almost every provider lists an irradiance value. Almost no one says how it was measured. A solar meter gives a different reading than a spectrometer, and a measurement at 5 cm gives a different reading than one at 15 cm.
That’s why we publish both values, along with the distance and measurement method. The same goes for our EMF measurement with a TriField TF2, taken right in front of the panel, with a photo of each measurement in the report. Even if the result isn’t exactly zero, because no mains-powered device is. You don’t have to take our word for it: you can read the report.

The best part of this work is the stories from our customers. People who sleep well again after years, skin that improves, a knee that’s working again. A few of the reviews that touched us.
